ARE THE CHILDREN MISSING?

Here are some tips for finding missing kids.

One of my favorite tricks in finding children is to search using the names of the parents, a general location and broad time span. (maybe 25 years?) Put nothing in the first name or last name search boxes. Many individuals put in too much information. This method may "gather" unknown children. It's a simple technique and allows for variations in possible last names.

I love to use a Wild Card when I research to try to find some of the misspellings. For instance, if you were researching the surname Bierer, you might find it spelled Beirer. I can search with B*rer and pick up names that are missing a letter or two. the * indicates that I don't know what letter goes there. You can do the same thing at the end of a name. If I don't know whether it is Johnson or Johnsen, I could just type Johns* and I would get any name that had Johns.. at the beginning of it.
